Explanation of The Medicine Wheel

The medicine wheel is a self development technique and it is a very traditional way to help yourself find your way in life and better your weaknesses and become a healthier and happier human being.

For 13 years I listened to my teacher teaching this medicine wheel to the people. It was originally taught orally from teacher to student, but today people are taught differently so my teacher put the teachings on a diagram and therefore people can relate to my way of teaching today.

The diagram shows two wheels. The first wheel illustrates the four parts of a human being: spiritual, emotional, physical and mental part. I will explain each part to you and then you mark in each area how you are today and you will find that your wheel is not centred.

The second wheel explains how come the first wheel is not balanced and the second wheel shows the ideal life. Of course we did not have a perfect life but we will use the second wheel to see what we missed in our childhood and youth and I will tell you what to do to fix this and thereby make the first wheel more centred so you become a healthier and happier human being.

Sometimes you will need to drink some herb tea or do a ceremony to fix the shortcomings you find in the wheel and it requires that you are willing to put the time and effort into doing these assignments that you will be advised to do. It can take up to one year to complete all the things in your wheel so it is important to understand that this is not just another weekend seminar or evening workshop it’s a tool for you to help yourself get onto the right path in life. It is important to understand that for the wheel to work for you, you have to put an effort into it as well.
